Day 7 - Centre National d'Art et de Culture Georges Pomidou

Today was a religious holiday so there were very few places open.  We went with Jack and students to the Pompidou museum.  The exterior of the building had the kids laughing.  Why would someone build a building with stairs and escalators outside the place?  After riding the escalators to the top, Gracie decided she had seen enough so we went to the cafe for an overpriced lunch.  Afterwards she found some trampolines to jump on.  On the other hand, Jackson endured walking through the museum with Jack.  His favorite artists were Mondrian and Jackson Pollack.  He had lots of alternatively funny and interesting things to say about many paintings, and he had a large audience since some of the students were with him.  On our way home for some rest, we watched a religious parade marching down Ave. de la Bourdonnais.  We attended the group dinner at Les Jardins de Germain, apparently one of Hemingway's favorites, on rue du Dragon.  The food was delicious.
