Day 9 - Marche Boulevard de Grenelle

We were very tired from the previous night.  So the kids and I had an easy day.  We ventured outdoors around 11:30 to meet with Hannah and Emily.  We decided we would go to an open market and later have a picnic.  The Marche boulevard de Grenelle is very near our apartment and runs on Wednesday and Sunday.  It was much larger than the Marche des Batignolles.  There were lots of stands selling clothing, produce, fruit, meat, seafood and bread.  We bought lots of spinach, something that is very hard to find in Paris and other goodies for our picnic on the Champ de Mars.  Jackson's favorite was the walnut brownies and Gracie's favorite was the coffee brownies.  The most interesting stand was the butcher that sold many delicacies like kidney, tongue and even heart.  I couldn't get the kids to want any of them.  On our walk to the park, we found a very large toy store, 1.2.3. famille.  The kids really enjoyed themselves.  Jackson found a magnetic puzzle map of France.  We made it to the park for a picnic enjoying our treats with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  Jackson got in lots of toss time and Gracie played in the sandbox with Hannah.  They also made a friend from Italy.  Jack had classes and visited Musee Picasso.  The museum shows Picasso's evolution and his immense range of styles.  We ended the day having Keri, Emily and Hannah over for bean burritos.  The kids and Jack attempted to play French monoploy.
